madre natura is a contemporary Australian slow-fashion design house grounded in balance, between people, process and planet. Its garments are plastic-free and made in Australia.
Meaning Mother Nature in Italian, the name reflects a belief that caring for the environment is inseparable from caring for ourselves. This ethos underpins every decision, shaping a brand built on sustainability, ethical production, circularity and a commitment to slowing down.
CAK created a deliberately restrained design system that places garments and materials at the forefront. Typography, iconography and illustration are treated as supporting elements, quiet, considered and unobtrusive.
The wordmark is influenced by traditional calligraphy and hand-lettered typefaces, paying homage to the artists and artisans of the past — a subtle nod to craft, process and permanence in an industry often driven by speed.
